Wintersteiger Discovery

Truly one of the most sophisticated machines ever created to perfectly return a ski to better than factory finish. The Discovery enables our technicians to enter and save your equipment types and preferences into its system, ensuring that every time you return, you receive the exact same tune, making for a consistent skiing experience every single time.

Wintersteiger Base Jet

Most people are afraid to continually grind their skis for fear of wearing through the base. Every full tune offers a brand new base at Big Mountain Tuning. We apply a full layer of brand new sintered base material to the entire ski or snowboard ensuring a perfectly filled ski. Then regrind to flat. No other company in the Vail Valley offers a high end product such as this.

Machine Wax

We offer machine wax as well as super high-end hand race wax finishes. Many of our local athletes both amateur and professional use Big Mountain Tuning to give them the edge they need to win races and just get down the hill better.
